Goodbye 2018

2018, wow.

It has been one of a journey this year. It went a little crazy for me but nevertheless, I know after through it all, there's always a reason for everything that happened.

I must say, it's a year about self-discovery, getting my shits together and putting myself first.
I believed that you're unable to love others if you lack of self-love and when you gave too much love to others, it will disappoint you.

Self-care is just not about treating myself to vacation, to a spa or buying anything luxurious. (Tho at times, I was too angry or sad that I did all of this without thinking.) But really, self-care is being mentally healthy. I have to be honest that I overthink about anything, a lot. And the only time that keeps my mind at bay was when I'm asleep.

I don't allow myself to be happy even when I'm truly are. I had melt down in the middle of the day and night. You know it's like I'm self torturing myself with words in my thoughts which is really that bad. It's like a bad trait but I'm better now, Alhamdulillah. I learn how to overcome it, slowly.

While in a midst of the mess, I did travel to places. Well, it was just an excuse to escape from my misery period but I must say, I did enjoy every one of it. I get to see new places, experienced new things and enjoy the moment with the people that I love. One thing that I learnt from all the trip is, I have to stop being so angsty and grumpy!!! Something that I need to work on.

I wanna say, I'm really, really thankful for everyone who constantly checking up on me during the mess and even now. I feel like I'm seeking so much attention online and therefore, I'm sorry. I appreciate for everyone who has been there for me whether I knew you for a short period of time or long enough that my jokes are getting lamer every time we meet.

Not forgetting, thank you to my dear self, for not giving up on yourself when at one point of time, you wanted to. One day, when you look back to this year, you will have so many question like what happened, what went wrong, why were you feeling a certain way. I want you to know that everything will not matter at all. The only thing that you should take from 2018 was the lesson learnt, to love yourself.

For now, I do not have much plans for 2019. All I know is, I need to work even harder in 2019 for school. That is my main priority.
(If only I can kill the habit of procrastination that I've in me)
I hope 2018 has been great for all of you. If it doesn't. it's ok! Look, you've made it and 2019 will be a brand new start for you. I'll pray for all of us to be successful in achieving the good things that we are planning for. In sha Allah, Ameen! Please keep me in your prayers too, hehe!

Have a blessed 2019!

Lots of love,
Namirah

Hello, Osaka | Part 2

Day 4 is our trip to Universal Studio Japan!!!! Quite excited but at the same time I'm not ready for all the crazy rides.

Had to bail my sister and Kak Dhilah for the Hollywood Dream roller coaster.

The four of us were so tired that we slept throughout the show.

I'm home!!! :P

Of course I had to get a wand for myself? Guess whose wand did I buy?

We were about to leave the place and crossing the Jurassic Park, and Chris Patt was there in USJ?!!!

We had so much fun at USJ that we had our dinner nearby and went back to our apartment straight.

For our Day 5, we went to Nara Park to feed the deer with our kimono. And guess who didn't take a lot of pictures in her kimono cause she was cranky? Me, duh!

I forgot the name of the shop but it's located nearby Nara station.
It's muslimah friendly and the people who helped us with the kimono were so nice.

We visited a few temples.

Look at the deer! So cute!

We had to settle with kebab as there weren't any other halal shop but alhamdulillah we were full.

Our last full day in Osaka we train to Rinku Osaka Outleet to shop, shop and shop. Had our sukiyaki dinner at Bulls, near Namba station. It was my treat for the cousins because it was our first successful trip and there were tons of celebrations to celebrate for.

Last night walk in Shinsaibashi :(

I didn't have any pictures of our apartment but it was a good stay for 4 people!

Mai and me have been wanting to eat Japan curry rice and we finally found it on our last day at the airport. It was so good! Thank God!!!

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this Japan trip post. Sorry that it took months.

Love, N.

Hello, Osaka | Part 1

The train journey from Hiroshima to Osaka was about an hour plus. Although the train system of Japan may be confusing, they are really quite efficient and fast!

Upon reaching Osaka, we had to take another train to take the key of our apartment from an office. To cut it short, we were lost for about an hour. Our last resort was to take a cab.

Thank God we had a friendly driver, Mr Yamamoto who helped us out with the office address. I find it lovely of him, to use google translate to communicate with us.

Once we settled down in our apartment and had a good rest, we went to Umeda to get our dinner. Since it was still early, we went to Umeda Sky Building. It was a very nerve wrecking experience taking the lift to get to the top. And although it was chilly and hazy due to the drizzle, we did get a good view of Umeda.

See what I mean

We ended our day 2 in Japan with walking around Dotonburi and surveying the area of our apartment before heading back home to rest before our Day 3 in Japan.

Day 3

Day 3 is full day of walking and visiting of places.

We catch the train to Kyoto to visit Fushimi Inari Shrine. Didn't manage to get to the top of the shrine because it was too hot and everyone was so cranky especially me. (I mean what's new)

When the train stop they quickly change the advertisement in the train cool!

Next was Kiyomizu-dera. We were so hungry and thankfully there was this food shop while we were going up the hill so we had to make a pit stop. The temple was having construction but the place is super insta-worthy especially if you are planning to take pictures with kimono.

Since everyone was super tired, we had to cab again for our last place to visit which is Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Again, an insta-worth place buuuuut I must warn that the place is quite full of mosquito during summer.

Talking to the moon.... tryin togetsukyo (Hehehe)

After exploring places the whole day, we went to check out this halal ramen place in Osaka. Had to pat myself at the back because I found this place :P
